Official Rules and Terms

General Description: This contest invites participants to enter a random drawing for an all-expense paid trip for two to the 2012 DJ Expo in Atlantic City (August 13-16, 2012), courtesy of the ADJ Group of Companies.  Participants submit their entries digitally through the “Expo Express Contest” tab on the American DJ Facebook page. Only entries submitted through this page shall be included in the random drawing for this prize. The deadline for submitting entries is 1pm Pacific Time Friday April 27, 2012. No purchase is necessary to participate in this contest.

Eligibility: The contest is open to all legal residents of the United States 18 years of age or older. Employees of the ADJ Group of Companies and their affiliated agencies are not eligible to participate in this contest. No purchase is necessary to participate in this contest. The purchase, use or endorsement of American DJ or American Audio products will not increase a participant’s chances of winning. The American DJ Group of Companies includes American DJ Lighting, American Audio, Global Truss, Arriba Cases, Elation Lighting and Acclaim Lighting.

Deadlines: The deadline for the contest is 1 pm Pacific Time Friday April 27, 2012. No entries received after that time will be eligible for consideration.  The winner will be announced on or before May 2, 2012.

Selection of Winner:  The winner of this contest will be selected randomly from all eligible entries. This random selection will be based on random number generation conducted via the website www.random.org.

Prizes: This grand prize is an all-expense paid trip to the DJ Expo held at the Taj Mahal Casino Hotel on August 13, 14 and 15. This trip includes the following: Round trip economy class airfare to and from an airport near the winner’s home and an airport at or near Atlantic City (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Newark, New Jersey or Atlantic City); ground transportation to and from the designated airport to the Taj Mahal hotel in Atlantic City; a standard room for two at the Taj Mahal hotel for three nights; $300 in spending/meal money; two free passes to the 2012 DJ Expo; and $500 worth of merchandise (MSRP value) from the American DJ, American Audio, Arriba Case or Global Truss booths at the DJ Expo.  The runner up prize is $1,000 worth of any American DJ Lighting or American Audio gear (MSRP value). The third place prize is $500 worth of any American DJ Lighting or American Audio gear (MSRP value). The fourth prize is $200 worth of any Arriba Case product (MSRP value). The fifth prize is $100 worth of any Arriba Case product (MSRP) value.  All merchandise prizes are subject to availability.

Unclaimed Prize: The ADJ Group will make every reasonable attempt to contact the winners by telephone and email. However, if any winner fails to respond to emails and calls from the ADJ group or its authorized representatives within 20 (twenty) days, he or she shall forfeit all claims to his or her prize. At that point, ADJ and its representatives can at their total and sole discretion, randomly select another contestant for the prize. Any contestant that forfeits a prize by failing to respond to inquiries from the ADJ Group or its authorized agents shall hold the company and its agents harmless and shall press no claims against them.  The ADJ Group and its agents are not responsible if a contestant’s contact information is incorrect, or if disrupted, disconnected or malfunctioning email or telephone service prevents the contestant from receiving notification about winning a prize.

Buyouts – If the grand prize winner is unable to attend the DJ Expo on the designated dates, the ADJ Group may at its complete and sole discretion allow the winner to substitute cash or merchandise for the trip to Atlantic City. This amount of cash or merchandise offered in this buyout is at the sole discretion of the ADJ Group and shall be final and binding.  A winner that accepts a buyout must agree in writing that it represents full compensation for winning and shall hold American DJ and its affiliated agencies harmless against any future claims.

Travel Arrangements and Responsibilities -- Although the ADJ Group will make every attempt to accommodate the grand prize winner’s travel schedule, the company reserves the right to select the flight to and from the winner’s home to Atlantic City or a nearby major airport.  The ADJ Group will bear no responsibility for fees, penalties or other additional costs if the grand prize winner reschedules a flight once the reservation has been made. The grand prize winner is solely responsible for ground transportation to and from the winner’s home airport. The grand prize winner also assumes full responsibility for having current acceptable travel documents.

Waiver of Liabilities -- By agreeing to the terms and conditions of this contest, the winner agrees to hold the ADJ Group and its affiliated agencies harmless for any missed or canceled flights, missed income from the winner’s normal place of employment and accidental injury or death that results during the course of the trip to the 2012 DJ Expo in Atlantic City, New Jersey.  This exemption covers incidents, injuries or death that may occur while traveling to or from Atlantic City, as well as during the entire duration of the winner’s stay in Atlantic City, including but not limited to the time spent at the 2012 DJ Expo.   If the winner is unable to attend the 2012 DJ Expo, the grand prize is forfeited with no in kind cash to be paid to the winner. In this case, the winner agrees to hold the ADJ Group and its affiliated agencies harmless

Warranties – By participating in this contest, the contestant warrants that he or she is the individual identified in the entry form, and further warrants that he or she is a legal resident of the United States of American who is 18 years of age or older and who understands and accepts the terms and conditions set forth in this document.  All contestants agree to hold the ADJ Group and its affiliated agencies harmless from any legal actions or damages that may arise from the entrant’s participation in this contest.

Submission of Entries: All entries must be submitted through the American DJ Facebook page. Entries submitted by any other means shall not be considered in this contest. The ADJ Group and its affiliated agencies are not liable for lost, corrupted or destroyed logos.

Exclusion of Entries -- Any entry containing lewd, vulgar, sexually offensive or racially offensive material shall be excluded from consideration immediately. Any entry that harms, degrades or endangers any person or animal shall  be excluded from consideration immediately. Any entry that does not include the name and contact information for the entrant shall not be considered.  Entries submitted after the deadline date and time shall not be considered.  

Permissions: By participating in this contest, participants agree to allow the ADJ Group and its affiliated agencies to use their names and likenesses in advertising, marketing and public relations/promotional material without compensation. The contestants shall hold the ADJ Group and its affiliated agencies harmless against any claims that arise from this use.

Publication of Winning Entries: American DJ will announce the winners on its Facebook page and will publish the winning entries in its digital newsletter ADJ NewsWave within a reasonable timeframe.  Names of winners will be made available to anyone contacting the American DJ advertising department.

Contest Entrant Responsibilities – By agreeing to this contest’s terms and conditions, contestants warrant that they truly represent their identity and are not another individual.  They further agree to hold the ADJ Group and its affiliated agencies harmless against any claims made by other parties as a result of their participation in this contest.  By participating in this contest, participants warrant that their entries represent original work and thought and do not violate any copyright laws, patent laws or other laws. Participants agree to hold the ADJ Group and its affiliated agencies harmless in the event said laws are violated by their entry.

Tax Responsibility – By agreeing to this contest’s terms and conditions, contestants agree to bear full responsibility for any federal, state or local taxes that may arise from winning any prize associated with this contest.
